SHIRIN GOLCHIN

Shirin Golchin is a trained actor and musical artist. She has participated in a long series of Film, TV, theater and musical productions. On TV, she has appeared in Pappas pojkar on Discovery, Morden i Sandhamn on Cmore and TV4, Box 21 on Viaplay. Shirin has worked at several theaters such as Kulturhuset Stadsteatern, Östgötateatern, Backateatern and Borås Stadsteater. Right now she is participating in The Girl with Brimstone Sticks at Uppsala Stadsteater.

DJ DAEVA

Nasim Mashak (DJ Daeva) is an Oslo-based artist, DJ and poet born and raised in Tehran.

Since 2004, Daeva has been seen extensively on Oslo’s club and festival scene, via Cosmopolite, Oslo World, Blå, Khartoum, Kunstnernes hus, Riksscenen, Munchmuseet, Melafestivalen, Oslo Pride, Nobel Peace Prize Torch Train and much more

NEGAR ZARRASI 

Negar Zarassi is a Swedish-Iranian soprano with a bachelor’s degree in music from both the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm and the University of Theater and Music in Gothenburg. She is often hired for concerts and various music and theater productions all over Sweden, she has participated in several large TV productions and is currently involved in the performance GBG 402 with the Gothenburg Symphony. Through Persia’s got Talent 2019, she gained great global influence among the Persian population and has since developed her own mix of opera and pop in Persian. With a wide and varied repertoire, this ”Persian Sarah Brightman” has touched millions of people with her beautiful voice.

This evening, Negar Zarassi and her musicians offer songs that elevate the role of women in society, where the voices of the brave Iranian women are heard through the music. The repertoire is varied with everything from opera to folk music and musicals.

SHAYRI

Shayri is a breath of fresh air on Ukraine’s fast-growing music scene and has quickly gained a large and devoted fan base with her dance music. After fleeing the war, she is now recording her second album in Stockholm.

FAE FIRE GROUP

The Gothenburg-based fire group Fae is one of Sweden’s most inventive and adaptable fire artists. They use fire, pyrotechnics, dance, theater and magic to enhance the stage experience and break the boundaries between the various art expressions. Fae tailors shows for all occasions, from weddings and parties to festivals and concerts. You can also see them online in several music videos and documented performances. Fae loves fire in all its forms and is a natural addition to Chaharshanbeh souri.

KATEKING BAND

Kateking plays traditional folk music from the Persian Gulf and especially the city of Bandar Abbas (also known as Jarun, Gamru or Gombroon) in southern Iran. Kateking draws its repertoire from the unique bandari music originating from Southern Iran and the city of Bandar Abbas in particular. The music of the area is a mixture of Persian, Arabic, African and Indian influences that have interacted for centuries in this crossroads of cultures at the mouth of the Persian Gulf.

KARAVAN

The music association Karavan are a group of musicians, songwriters and dancers based in Gothenburg. This group has its own education in music, art and dance in different classes and formats in the style of classical, folklore and orientalism. Karavan music association has four different dance and choir groups. The association’s aim is to cooperate with other music, dance and culture associations.

PARIAN

Parian is a cultural association from Gothenburg. Parian dances Persian dance with influences of modern dance and ballet. The dance reflects the Persian New Year table, Haft sin, as it is performed by seven dancers and the word ”Haft sin” means seven things starting with the letter S. The association was formed in 2000 and has since performed at several different celebrations with, among other things, self-produced dance and theater . For the dance performance at Eldfesten, Parian collaborates with Move Dansstudio. The choreography is created by Nazanin Ali from Move Dansstudio in collaboration with Parian. Creative director, designer and seamstress is Sara Mahani.

VFI ENSEMBLE

Voice of a Free Iran Ensemble, also known as VFI Ensemble, is a music group formed by musicians from Gothenburg. Our vision is to, through the unified power of music, awaken solidarity for the Iranian people who are struggling in different cities of Iran. We want to raise awareness of current events in Iran, and support the continued struggle of the brave, brave and heroic people through protests and more and more strikes in the country’s various sectors. VFI Ensemble is everywhere. We perform in different arenas and places in different cities in Sweden to invite the audience to listen and together sing songs about equality and freedom.

REERA DANCE TROUPE

The Reera dance group was formed at the beginning of the Iranian revolution to, through dance choreographies and performances of songs containing the message of ”woman, life, freedom”, reflect the suffering and hopes of our country and to portray the human concerns and the universally dominant desire in Iran. The group is led by a dancer, who danced on Iran’s forbidden stages for many years, with love and commitment to this art form. Motivated by the Iranian revolution, she formed the dance group Reera. The group, most of whose members have no previous experience of dancing, was selected based on their morals and feelings during the months since the beginning of the revolution. They have been trained and prepared for performances.

Reera is a combination of restoration, revolution and sun (light).

Reera is the name of one of the girls who was hit by a rocket in the fiery sky of Iran and Reera’s dance was born in that moment of awakening, struggle and freedom. In memory of Reera’s shining eyes.

ASEMAN

Aseman is an Iranian singer, songwriter and artist with both her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Fine Arts. In addition, she has studied singing and music at The Music Collage (TMC) in Gothenburg. Although it is a crime for women to sing in public in Iran, she did some underground concerts in Iran. ”Unrecoverable dragons” is the name of her song collection. With a focus on the bright side of life, Aseman tries to be inspirational in his artistic expression.

ZHOBIN & BAHAR

Zhobin and Bahareh are two singers from Gothenburg. The duo is founded from the women’s struggle in Iran. They want to show the world through music that they are a voice for those in Iran who cannot sing freely. Previously, they have performed at demonstrations in Gothenburg for Women, Life, Freedom (Zan, Zendegi, Azadi).

ARASH KAMANGIR

Arash Kamangir is a Persian YouTuber, living in Germany for 10 years. Arash makes his own videos, among other things, when he travels around the world, for example in Thailand, Croatia, Dubai and now he is also here in Gothenburg.

KODAKE GÖTEBORG

Kodake Gothenburg was founded in 2016 and is managed by Elmiyra Neha. They are a group for children and young people who are Persian speakers of any nationality (Iranian, Afghani, Tajik etc). The group works in the fields of culture, art, science, education and entertainment in the Persian language completely free of charge in Gothenburg. Children and youth who have other nationalities and are interested in the Persian language can also participate in the group’s classes and programs.
